What are photochromic Sunglasses?

Photochromic lenses have millions of molecules of substances such as silver chloride or silver halide embedded in them.
When exposed to UV rays, as in direct sunlight, the molecules undergo a chemical process that causes them to change shape. The new molecular structure absorbs portions of the visible light, causing the lenses to darken, and to improve vision while ensuring protection from hazardous optical radiation.
The darkening of photochromic lenses was reversible, i.e., the lenses became original shape again once the ambient light was lowered.

An important note about photochromic lenses:

An important note about photochromic lenses: because they react to UV light and not to visible light, there are circumstances under which the darkening will not occur. Frist example, is in your car. Because the windshield blocks out most UV light, photochromic lenses will not darken. Second,is indoors test with ordinary lighting(Because the lighting used in daily lighting does not contain ultraviolet light),photochromic lenses will not darken.
So the ways to activate photochromism is:
Exposed to UV rays, as in direct sunlight OR Use ultraviolet light lamp (not ordinary lighting lamp).This is the way to activate the photochromic function of the product.

    Брал очки за 1287руб. , исключительно для вождения автомобиля. Привлекло сочетание таких характеристик, как желтые ультрафиолетовые «поляризированные» фильтры.
    Однако, при сравнении свойств линз от новых и от старых «поляризированных» очков ( см. фото) видно, что линзы новых очков не устраняют блики (отражение передней панели) в лобовом стекле автомобиля, которые возникают при ярком солнце.
    Фото1 – вид лобового стекла без очков;
    Фото2- вид лобового стекла через новые очки;
    Фото3- вид лобового стекла через линзу от старых поляризационных очков.
    Единственный заметный эффект при ношении этих очков – лобовые стёкла встречных автомобилей окрашены в желтый цвет. То же с отраженными в лужах облаками. При взгляде на неспокойную водную поверхность отсечение части бликов не происходит, как это должно быть при реально поляризационных фильтрах.
    Открыл спор на возврат части суммы (550руб. ). АЭ мнгновенно согласился и вернул деньги. Потому – 5 баллов.

    Very good sunglasses for bike day & night. I very like yellow sunglasses in the cloudy days, but polarization is disputable . Maybe there’s some problem with direction of polarization-there is invert effect as others polarized sunglasses. Photochromic effect is very good. I have no aperture to testing UV protection, so I hope it is good function .
